Please Note

  • This moderate 2 km hike is mainly on a paved trail, with some off-trail exploration.
  • With multiple slopes of up to 12 degrees, the trail is not accessible for wheeled mobility devices.
  • Participants are strongly encouraged to wear hats and use sunscreen.
  • Participants must wear sturdy walking shoes with closed toes and heels. (No sandals, flip-flops, or Crocs.)
  • Participants are required to bring one bottle of water per person.

Summer in Alberta's badlands can be very hot, often reaching 30°C. However, cool, cloudy, windy, and rainy days are possible. Bring clothing suitable for a range of conditions, including:
