Summer in Alberta’s badlands can be very hot, often reaching 30˚C. However, cool, cloudy, windy, and rainy days are possible. Bring clothing suitable for a range of conditions, including:

  • Sturdy walking shoes or hiking boots (flip flop sandals not permitted on hikes)
  • A wide-brimmed sun hat
  • A waterproof windbreaker
  • A water bottle
  • Sunglasses
  • Camera
