Food For Thought

Bananas that bite? They do in the Royal Tyrrell Musem’s new “food for thought” campaign that ties together everyday foods with interesting dinosaur “factoids.”

In a recent partnership with two Calgary Co-op stores, the Museum found an innovative way to educate and entertain shoppers with a dino-produce promotion. It all started one morning when Co-op shoppers found stickers telling them that T. rex had teeth as big as the bananas they were about to buy! To sweeten the deal, 2 for 1 admission coupons to the Musuem were then avaialbe for pick up at Customer Service. Even kids got into the fun in the kiddie korral by expressing their creative side with dinsosaur colouring pages. Their works of art were put on display and judged, with the winner taking home a gift basket full of dinosaur goodies!
