The Drumheller & District Chamber of Commerce is currently seeking an individual to work in the fabrication department and gallery areas at the Royal Tyrrell Museum. The majority of the work will be in the fabrication area working either alone, or as part of team.

Carpenter’s Assistant 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Completed grade 12
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to stand, crouch and kneel for long periods of time
• Manual dexterity
• Balance for working on scaffolding
• Ability to easily and repeatedly lift 25 kilograms (55 pounds).
• Ability to solve arithmetic problems quickly and accurately
• Ability to get along well with others on a work team
• Class 5 driver’s license

• Some formal education in carpentry
• WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) training
• OH&S (Occupational Health and Safety) training
• First Aid and CPR certification
• Creative problem solving skills

Salary: $16 to $20 per hour (dependent on skill and experience)
